There are a lot of options when it comes to sports in Devon, along with the team sports such as football and rugby, there are a great deal of individual activities available. Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City are both enjoying success in the Football league, and the North Coast has a lot of beaches with excellent surf breaks. Croyde is one such spot that is very sought after.

Exmoor and Dartmoor both demand plenty of attention. Horse riding and cycling are very popular. Haldon Woods on the edge of Exmoor is traffic free, and bike hire can be found at Forest Cycle Hire, located right in the woodland park itself. This is a very family friendly trail through stunning scenery, and hire is also available to take the bikes out across more chalenging routes.
